Scheduled Data Center Maintenance 5-11-2013
On the second Saturday of each month, CTS performs various maintenance actions in the data center to ensure our systems stay up to date and running optimally.
Starting at 11pm on Friday (5/10) night our Groupwise communication system will be taken off-line to run critical database cleanup and upgrade routines. CTS will be working directly with Novell engineering to perform these actions and the system is scheduled to be back online by 2pm Saturday. All email sent to Portland Schools users will be retained for delivery once the system is back up and running.
Thank you all in advance for your patience.
NWEA Test Question delays
Service Alert from NWEA:
Due to a system performance issue, some students may experience slow response times or white screens while testing. For students that encounter these issues, our recommendation is to wait to allow the question to load. If a student gets the ‘please raise your hand’ message, refreshing the screen by hitting the F5 key will reload the question. We appreciate your patience as we actively work to resolve these issues.
Current status
NWEA is continuing to investigate the issue. Due to the length of time the issue has been occurring, it has been escalated to a dedicated internal team.
We understand the inconvenience this disruption may have caused and are dedicating all of our resources to a rapid resolution.
Online Classrooms Upgraded to 2.4.3
During the April vacation week, the online classrooms were upgraded to Moodle 2.4.3, the release notes can be found here.
Groupwise maintenance
From 4pm to 6pm this Friday (3/29), message delivery and access to Groupwise will be disrupted. There are maintenance routines needing to be completed and Novell has requested we schedule this process during a time when they can provide higher level access to engineering support.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience but are hopeful that the time chosen has minimal impact on PPS operations. Thank you.
